- Language, Culture & Customs
Both English and Creole are considered the local languages of the Seychelles.
- Climate
The Seychelles enjoys a consistently pleasant climate that remains warm throughout the year without extreme fluctuations. This tropical paradise rarely experiences temperatures below 24°C or above 32°C, making it an ideal year-round destination for those who cherish the sun and adore the beach. Between October and March, when the north-west trade winds prevail, the sea typically remains calm, and the weather is warm and humid. January and February are the months when the islands receive their vital rainfall, nourishing the rivers and streams, and rejuvenating the landscape. From May to September, the climate becomes cooler and drier, accompanied by livelier seas, particularly along the south-eastern coast.
- Time Difference
The Seychelles is 2 hours ahead in time of South Africa.
